Kid Friendly, Allergy Friendly Pakodas

It has been raining alot here and with rain comes Pakodas. Pakodas are fried potato fritters and are usually served in rainy season in India and Pakistan. This is a quick and easy recipe, made with Besan (chickpea flour), potatoes and spices. A great back to school lunch or snack idea. If your kids love potatoes they will surely love this.

Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
oil, for frying
3 Potatoes
1 tsp crushed red chili pepper
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
water, as needed
1 cup Chickpea flour (besan)

Cut potatoes into thin slices

Heat oil on medium heat. Meanwhile, add all the spices and flour together, in a bowl. Add water as needed and mix. The batter should not be too thick or too thin.

Now dip the sliced potatoes into the batter and fry until golden brown and the potatoes are done.
